Challenge We wanted to take the opportunity to revamp the experience by giving it a new branding and address some of the most frequent pieces of feedback from clients.
Contribution I worked closely with a designer to streamline the language and improve clarity across several new features. We rebranded the feature from "Auto Invest Your Pay" to "Automate Your Pay" to emphasize that it wasn't solely about investing but about automating clients' entire financial journey, ultimately supporting their wealth-building goals. This rebrand aligned with the enhanced functionality that allowed clients to select specific paychecks and pause their automations as needed.
Given the complexity of this flow, my primary focus was on language precision and clarity. Terms like "direct deposit," "automation," "automate," and "paycheck" were being used inconsistently, so I collaborated with the designer to establish a clear logic for each term, ensuring intentional and consistent use across all client touchpoints.
Additionally, we navigated tricky terminology such as "tagged," "labelled," and "saved," finding ways to keep the language human-centered yet authoritative. Throughout, I worked to harmonize language across push notifications, UI text, and emails, making sure it was not only precise and trustworthy but also fluid and adaptable for each context.
Deliverables: Rebranded feature name, gave the client the ability to select their paycheck, gave the client the ability to pause their automations.
