Challenge Launch an 8-week multi-platform campaign that would not only increase membership but also inspire and activate the community’s imagination around Black Brooklyn’s cultural and political heritage. Each week required a fresh theme and cohesive content across various channels, including emails, website updates, Instagram posts, and print materials, ensuring alignment with BMC’s overarching vision and brand values.
Contribution I conceptualized, developed, and executed a comprehensive 8-week digital campaign that celebrated the culture, political history, and radical imagination of Black Brooklyn. Each week featured a distinct cultural or political theme, which I represented through newly crafted visual assets, a weekly newsletter sent to over 6,000 subscribers, and Instagram posts.
I created original content for social media, email, and the website, and when additional materials were needed, I collaborated with BMC employees to source relevant content. My weekly themes and narratives aligned with the organization’s broader goals, reinforcing BMC’s mission and inspiring community connection. Alongside weekly execution, I monitored content performance to gauge impact, making adjustments to enhance engagement.
