a single-channel video installation,
an erotic conjuring,
a portal of possibility
Three fugitive women take flight again and again. They flee, they refuse, they hide, scheme and plot. And in their search for otherwise they uncover wayward paths that glitter with possibility.
Generations later, a shapeshifting granddaughter luxuriating in the pleasure of her own body archive discovers the ruptures, detours and escape hatches of her foremothers. She grieves, rages and rejoices with/for/because of them.
….
We traverse our inner landscapes finding where it hurts, weeping and praying over open wounds, lost homes and dreams deferred.
We continue. And when worn and weary from the effort we rest.
In chorus we feel, in chorus we heal. In the erotic we become.
